2016 FEATKids Speaker Announcement : Nicole Miller

Nicole Miller is an energetic, encouraging, responsible young lady who is known for her leadership skills.  The Scott Creek Middle School 6th grader lives in Coquitlam B.C. with her Dad, Mom, little sister and pet fish.  She loves spending her time reading, participating in a multitude of athletics, as well as outdoor adventures and hanging out with her amazing friends.  Much of her summers, for as long as she can remember, have been spent exploring Coastal BC on her family’s sailboat.

Nicole was a very happy, positive and adventurous kid, however everything changed for this young lady in Grade 4 whilst Nicole was confronted with academic related stress, anxiety and ultimately bullying.  Her self-confidence and self-esteem were shattered.  It was Nicole’s involvement in a program called Sole Girls, where she learned to celebrate her uniqueness, develop healthy academic relationships and friendships while training for her first 5k, this allowed her return to being her fun amazing self.  She can’t wait to share her journey with FEAT kids.
